Visas and entry
Since 1 January 2007, the Republic of Bulgaria has been a member of the EU and so enforces the General Visa Policy of the European Union, in keeping with the conditions of the Accession Treaty.
From 1 January 2025 Bulgaria is fully part of the Schengen area.

Visa support
If you require a visa to attend REM2026 symposium, we strongly recommend starting your application process as early as possible, as processing times can vary significantly depending on your country of residence.
If you need visa support letter, please contact the organizing committee at rem2026@roentgen-bg.org with the subject line “Visa Support Letter Request” and include the following information:
- Full Name (as in passport)
- Passport Number
- Country of Passport Issue (Place of Issue)
- Date of Birth
- Affiliation / Institution
- Planned dates of stay in Bulgaria
We will aim to process your request as soon as possible and issue a PDF visa support letter suitable for use in your visa application.
